UPPERVILLE, Va., June 10, 2023– Earlier today, Cathleen Driscoll of Middleburg, Va. and Don Stewart’s Flotylla accelerated to the top of the Delta Air Lines $38,700 FEI CSI 4*Upperville Power & Speed Stakes, stopping the clock .64 seconds better than McLain Ward and First Lady.

“Flotylla is fabulous. She’s so fast and so careful,” said Driscoll. “There weren’t too many options, and I thought I had a good track mapped out.”

“McLain, as always, was fast and I saw him do six down the last line, so I thought it was worth a shot,” she continued. “She did it easily and I think that’s where I was able to catch him.”

“This is a spectacular horse and a spectacular local rider,” said Stewart. “We’ve been second to McLain one too many times and we finally slipped ahead!”
